Brand audit
Final read before your brand goes live
The audit service is for teams who already own copy and design files but need an independent pass before spend hits market. We mark issues in your materials; we rewrite only when commissioned to do so.
Tone and audience. Does language match your positioning? Does the press paragraph sound like the staff FAQ? We flag drift between channels and audiences.
Fact trace. Claims link to your source documents. Unsourced adjectives are treated as claims. We do not silently delete—we ask you to confirm or remove.
Accessibility. Heading order, link text, contrast notes for designers, plain-language suggestions. We reference WCAG 2.1 AA; we do not certify compliance on your behalf.
Cross-channel consistency. Master copy compared to social cuts, email headers, and slide footers. If a derivative introduces a new claim, we mark it.
Deliverables: annotated PDF or Word comments plus a summary memo ranked must fix, should fix, consider. Turnaround: forty-eight hours for short documents, one week for multi-file bundles. Emergency audit available for retainer clients at pre-agreed rates.
Tone & audience fit
We read aloud where helpful. Sentences that tangle in speech usually tangle on the page.
Fact trace
Claims link to footnoted sources. Unsourced adjectives are treated as claims.
Accessibility
Structure, alt text suggestions, and plain-language notes for web teams.
Cross-channel consistency
Master and derivatives compared side by side before sign-off.
Must fix
Legal, factual, or accessibility blockers.
Should fix
Tone or clarity improvements strongly advised.
Consider
Optional polish if time remains.
Clients sometimes send audit requests after internal politics produced bloated copy. We do not take sides; we mark where sentences duplicate and where positioning was ignored.
Brand audit does not include media training or spokesperson coaching unless scoped separately.
